Becoming already traditional Christmas exhibition in Anna Ahmatova’s Museum in the Gushing House this time is devoted to Mommintroves and other heroes of stories of the Finnish writer Tove Jansson.
The exhibition one of the actions of the museum within the framework of the national program increasing the role of the Book and the reading supported by UNESCO, and celebrating the Day of the Book in 2006. We invite everybody to celebrate Christmas and New Year in the wonderful valley of Moomintroves.
In space of the museum the true houses of Moomin Valley inhabitants created by Finnish artist Jan-Eric Anderssen will appear. You can enter small houses with Moominmamma and Moominpappa writing his memoirs about his oversea adventures, where the Moomin Trove, Sniff and Snufkin are thinking out their traveling adventures.
The most brave will have a look into the home of the shaggy and cold inhabitant of Finnish woods Stinky. Following lonely and sad Hattifatteners you will float from island to island and receive messages from these sea phantoms. And if you have dream of your own island, you will find it and will arrange it in the way you want.
And if you want to leave your own work at the exhibition, there are TRAINING MASTERS – CLASSES, GAME INTERACTIVE TRAVEL, COMPETITIONS AND LITERARY GAMES for you at the exhibition.
In end of the adventure on a small raft together with Moominmamma and Moominpappa, the Moomin Trove, Sniff, Froeken Snork and other inhabitants Moomin Valley, being rescueed from flooding will get to the mysterious island where YOU WILL SEE PERFORMANCE «SMALL theatre of the GUSHING HOUSE » «Calling you to an adventure. Duration of the program with performance: 1 hour 40 minutes.
On December, 16 and 17, 13, 20, on January, 27, on February, 3 and 10 - the performances start at 13.00 On December, 26-30, on January, 3-6, 14, 21, on January, 28, on February, 4 and 11 - the performances start at 11.00 and 13.00.
The exhibition takes place in the big and small showrooms of the Museum of Anna Ahmatova in the Gushing House (2 floor).
