Common Ground exhibition

The exhibition Common Ground is the part of the project dedicated to tolerance organised by the British Consulate General in St. Petersburg, the British Council, Peter & Paul Fortress Foundation and State Museum of History of St. Petersburg.

First in 2006 there was a photo competition held in Russia, professional photographers were invited with there works about intercultural social relations. 100 pictures of Russian photographers chosen during the competition will be presented together with the works of the British photographers. At the exhibition the winners of the competition will be announced.

Instead the artists have drawn on the personal, private inner fabric of individuals lives as well as the broader political and social realities of daily existence. During the exhibition some special discussions, excursions and a movie demonstration on the topic of tolerance will be organized.
