«Kalevala» seems to be the youngest epos that was published only in XIX century by Lennroth. In 1835 the first collection of the runes — the best examples of the traditional legends of the North — were published.
People who will visit the presentation on the 27th of October will get know the new musical arrangement of the well-known mythological legends. Any firm epos needs to be renovate and get fresh breath in order not to be forgotten and continue its life in own days.
The roots of Karelo-Finnish folklore and modern music are mixed in a harmony way in this rock-suite that was written on the motive of the famous epos.
The main idea was to create the big work where the images of different characters were united. The musical tracks are bond by the extracts from runs that corresponded to some images of the suit. The digital sound and live guitar were used in the recording.
The live bands performance with declamation and video-installation impressed public greatly. The rock-suite «Kalevala» that was accepted in UNESCO list of cultural heritage was released by Bomba-Piter company in July, 2006.
In the frame of this presentation the competition of childrens pictures will be hold on. You can send your application to Anastasia Lobanova — bomba-piter@mail. ru, 327-3660, 8-911-944-5131.
